My Review:

This movie is a about a drug addict named Ashley Smith who is in the process of trying to recover from drug addition and trying to get her 5 year old daughter back from her aunt. There also is a man by the name of Brian Nichols who is a escaped convict who is facing 25 years because of a rape charge. While Brian was on the run he assaults and murders several people while on the run.

In the process of trying to get away he runs into Ashley while she is in the process of trying to make a change in her life and being there for her daughter. Ashley is held captive in her apartment by Brian at gun point and she is tied up. While being captive in her apartment Ashley is tempted by her addiction by Brian and she overcomes her addiction while being tempted twice by Brian even at gun point knowing there was a chance she might not make it out.

Brian is in denial and feel that he didn't rape the woman he is in jail for and he says he loves he pretty much saying he would nit rape her because he loves her. He finds out he has a son that he was unaware of and has no relationship with. There is a book in the movie that was being given to Ashley that her sponsor wanted would give to her that she would  throw away and not read and she had another chance to read the book.

The book is called "The Purpose Driven Life", Ashley decides to read the book at at first Brian didn't want Ashley to read but he changed her mind. As she was reading the book Brian was not really liking what was being said he has a negative opinion towards God, Church, Christianity because of his experience.

As Ashley and Brian get to know a little more about each other I felt Brian was showing that he was not really a bad guy he just made a lot of mistakes. As Ashley and Brian have breakfast, Brian ask Ashley to read the book and she talks about different topics like everyone has a purpose in life and pretty much everyone can change. But Brian felt that he has done so much and there was no turning back there is no way he can change and Ashley lets him know he can change and he has a purpose.

Long story short Brian allows Ashley to leave to be there for her daughter(Paige). In the process Ashley call the cops to let them know that Brian is in her house and he had held her captive. The cops went to Ashley house to get Brian to surrender and he was not surrendering. The cops decides to use Ashley to try to lure Brian out, and Ashley quotes from "The Purpose Driven Life" and was able to get Brian to Surrender.

I really enjoyed this movie it made me cry because it was a really touching movie. We have a Drug addict who is in the process of trying to recover who meets a Rapist and a Murderer and makes a chance in his life. Ashley and "The Purpose Driven Life" Book totally changed Brian's life had an impact on his life on him changing his life and believing that it is not to late.

For someone who was not wanting to read the book, used this book to change her life and Brian's life. This movies is a beautiful movie and if you are feeling you have no purpose in life this is a must read.
