As the time approaches for Jesus' return, the spiritual battle between good and evil is heating up. Evidence is all around: corruption, shootings, genocide, civil wars, false prophets, increased persecution. The enemy is on the move.

Yet God is on the move, too, in powerful ways--and we can join Him in His work. The Bible says that we overcome evil with good. With piercing insight and practical application, Derek Prince will help you understand not only the intensified warfare environment in which we live, but also how you can help unleash God's goodness in the world. The Gospel According to Paul Embracing the Good News at the Heart of Paul's Teachings Review

Hello All I hope you are having a blessed day, today I will be doing another book review from http://www.booklookbloggers.com/. I received a book called: The Gospel According to Paul Embracing the Good News at the Heart of Paul's Teachings Review for free for my honest opinion By: John MacArthur  Published By: Thomas Nelson

Book Description

From master-expositor and Bible teacher John MacArthur, a revelatory exploration of what the apostle Paul actually taught about the good news of Jesus

The apostle Paul penned a number of very pithy, focused passages in his letters to the early church that summarize the gospel message in just a few well-chosen words. Each of these key texts has a unique emphasis highlighting some essential aspect of the Good News.

The chapters in this revelatory new book closely examine those vital gospel texts, one verse at a time. John MacArthur, host of the popular media ministry Grace to You, president of the Master’s University and Seminary, and longtime pastor at Grace Community Church, tackles such questions as, What is the gospel? What are the essential elements of the message? How can we be certain we have it right?

And how should Christians be proclaiming the Good News to the world? As always, the answers John MacArthur gives are clear, compelling, well-reasoned, easy to grasp, and above all, thoroughly biblical. The Gospel According to Paul is written in a style that is easily accessible to lay people, including those who know very little about the Bible, while being of great value to seasoned pastors and experienced ministers.

My Opinion

I wanted to get more into the gospel of Paul and how Paul is involved with the writing of a lot of the old testament . I have read a lot of books from John MacArthur and I like his books. This one was okay I like how easy it was to read bit not sure it gave me what I was looking for. But it was okay, not my favorite book from the author.

Killing Us Softly Book Review

Hello All I hope you are having a blessed day, today I will be doing another book review from http://www.tyndaleblognetwork.com/ I received a book called: Killing Us Softly Reborn in the Upside-Down Image of God  By: Efrem Smith for free for my honest opinion.

Book Description

The Christian life is actually a kind of death. We die to ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. Dying in Christ, however, is an opportunity—to experience the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit as we spread the Good News of a God who loves us enough to save us and remake us in his image.

Efrem Smith helps us see that Christian discipleship is a counterintuitive life. In a world turned upside down by sin, God carefully and lovingly strips us of worldly values and turns us right-side up as good citizens and ambassadors of his Kingdom.

My Opinion

First off let me say the book cover is so beautiful and the fill of the book fills really soft and smooth. The book is not to long so you can finish the book really fast. This  book keep me entertained it was a really good read the book draws you in. This book is a must read to all Christians, The author does a great job explaining the scripture in a great way to make you want to continue to read.
Efrem Smith helps us see that Christian discipleship is a absurd life. In a world turned upside down by sin, God carefully and lovingly strips us of worldly values and turns us right-side up as good citizens and ambassadors of his Kingdom.

Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family Book Review

Hello everyone I hope you are having a blessed day, today I am coming to you with a book review. The book is called: Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family Review By: Paul David Tripp, I received this book for free for my honest opinion from FlyByPromotions.

Book Description

What is your calling as a parent?

In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything “right” and raise up “good” children, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas.

In this life-giving book, Paul Tripp offers parents much more than a to-do list. Instead, he presents us with a big-picture view of God’s plan for us as parents. Outlining fourteen foundational principles centered on the gospel, he shows that we need more than the latest parenting strategy or list of techniques. Rather, we need the rescuing grace of God—grace that has the power to shape how we view everything we do as parents.

Freed from the burden of trying to manufacture life-change in our children’s hearts, we can embrace a grand perspective of parenting overflowing with vision, purpose, and joy.

My Opinion

The Book is I think a book that all parents should read in addition to other parenting books. This book is made up of 14 Gospel Principles:

1. Calling - Nothing is more important in your life than being one of God's tools to form a human soul

2. Grace: God never calls you to a task without giving you what you need to do it. He never sends you without going with you.
3. Law: Your children need God's law, but you cannot ask the law to do what only grace can accomplish.
4. Inability: Recognizing what you are unable to do is essential to good parenting.
5. Identity: If you are not resting as a parent in your identity in Christ, you will look for identity in your children.
6. Process: You must be committed as a parent to long-view parenting because change is a process and not an event.
7. Lost: As a parent you're not dealing just with bad behavior, but a condition that causes bad behavior.
8. Authority: One of the foundational heart issues in the life of every child is authority. Teaching and modeling the protective beauty of authority is one of the foundations of good parenting.
9. Foolishness: The foolishness inside your children is more dangerous to them than the temptation outside of them. Only God's grace has the power to rescue fools.
10. Character: Not all of the wrong your children do is a direct rebellion to authority; much of the wrong is the result of a lack of character.
11. False Gods: You are parenting a worshiper, so it's important to remember that what rules your child's heart will control his behavior.
12. Control: The goal of parenting is not control of behavior, but rather heart and life change.
13. Rest: It is only rest in God's presence and grace that will make you a joyful and patient parent.
14. Mercy: No parent gives mercy better than one who is convinced that he desperately needs it himself.

These principles are some great principles to look into and really think about, some principle I like while some others not so much. I feel that I think some of these principles are needed for everyone in there, I definitely will be using these to see how they work in in my everyday life. Overall the book was okay but not my favorite.
